Standardized Precipitation Index Outlooks
Notes about this product:
- Drought classification: D1 -0.8 > SPI > -1.2; D2 -1.3 > SPI > -1.5; D3 -1.6 > SPI > -1.8; and D4 SPI < -2
- Data Source: National Multi-Model Ensemble (NMME)
- GeoTIFF: Undefined value is -999.
- Month-1 forecasts are ensemble monthly-mean forecasts for the month the same as the initial conditions (ICs). Month-2 forecasts are monthly-mean forecasts for the month after the ICs. For example, for ICs of 1-5 Jan 2013, month-1 forecasts are monthly-mean forecasts for Jan 2013 and month-2 forecasts are forecasts for Feb 2013.
