Time-Longitude Section of Infrared Temperatures

Time-longitude section of 3-hourly IR temperatures (°K) centered on 12°N (left) and 15°N (right) between 100°W and 50°E. Lighter shading indicates warmer cloud-top temperatures and possible stratiform precipitation and darker shading indicates cold cloud-top temperatures and possible convective activity.
