About the Data:
The Climate Prediction Center daily (1200 - 1200 UTC) air temperature reports are from over 5,000 stations across the US, including Alaska and Hawaii in near real time (within 12 hours). The data include multiple sources across the US: "First order" World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Global Telecommunications System (GTS) sites; NWS Cooperative Observer Network (COOP) via River Forecast Centers (RFC) and Weather Forecast Offices (WFO); and the Hydrometeorological Automated Data System (HADS) dataset.
