BioGraphical Sketch:
Michelle is a meteorologist int the Development Branch of the Climate Prediction Center (CPC). Her main operational tasks are to coordinate the El Nino- Southern Oscillation (ENSO) updates, to monitor the major teleconnection indices (AO, AAO, PNA, NAO), and to provide guidance on the Weeks-1 and -2 Global Tropics Benefits/Hazards Assessment. Her primary research interests are on topics related to tropical intraseasonal-to-interseasonal variability and their extratropical impacts. She received her bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia and her master's degree in Atmospheric Science from Colorado State University. She has been at CPC since December 2004.
