The NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center (CPC) Climate Monitoring Tool (CMT) is being developed to provide National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) an interactive web-based system to download data and plot maps and time series to monitor the evolution of climate conditions in countries of interest. CMT features the display of spatial maps including total precipitation and anomalies, seasonal rainfall performance probability (SPP), standardized precipitation index (SPI), soil moisture and runoff ranking percentiles. It also features line graphs displaying the evolution of cumulative daily precipitation in comparison with climatology. CMT operates on both WINDOWS v.7 or higher and Linux. Other software packages include Wget and Image Magick.
