Abstract Title: Communicating Drought Relative to Geography & Function

Abstract: The impacts of drought are variable depending on the region and the concerns of the various stakeholders impacted. This paper will focus on how communication and geography interesct the discursive construction of drought. The paper will first explain how communication and geography form a social construction perspective and then explore the connection between drought products, people and how this varies across geographic contexts.
