CTB National MME Planning Meeting
February 18th, 2011
The purpose of the
meeting is to develop a plan to test and implement a National
Multi-Model Ensemble (NMME) prediction system for operational
intra-seasonal to interannual (ISI) climate forecasts.
Questions to be addressed in the meeting include
- What is the current status of climate forecast systems in US?
- What are the computer resource requirements to run multiple US models in real time?
- Who will run the models and where will they be run?
- What are the research gaps and resource requirements for experiments in FY12 & beyond?
