Subseasonal Drought Prediction:
Evapotranspiration

This product had been issued as an experimental drought product and CPC has decided to discontinue it at this time. With support from NIDIS, CPC is continuing to develop and test new flash drought tools which will be made available once they’ve been determined to show skill. These products will include subseasonal forecasts for Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) and key land surface variables (e.g., soil moisture, evapotranspiration, runoff), as well as forecasts for various flash drought indices. We recognize that the removal of these products will result in a gap in CPC subseasonal/flash drought related tools and we expect to fill the gap as the new tools/products become available.
