ENSO effects and seasonal total rainfall (annual cycle, total rainfall from 1955-1996, and rainfall from 1955-1996 by percentile) for selected island stations is presented in graphical format.

Micronesia/Guam ENSO-Related Accumulated Precipitation - Time series maps of accumulated precipitation and departures from normal for six islands for the last 30 days. Composite Rainfall of El Niño and La Niña - Three month maps starting in August through October and ending in February through April show rainfall percentiles for the tropical Pacific basin based on 1955-1996 data. Composite Rainfall of ENSO for Individual Stations - Composite rainfall amounts for each of 66 Pacific basin stations by ENSO status based on 1955-1996 data. Correlation Between ENSO Index and Rainfall - Maps of the western Pacific Ocean show the correlations between the Southern Oscillation Index and Nino 3.4 SST and rainfall with lead times from zero to nine months based on 1955-1996 data. Spatial Distribution Maps of Rainfall Percentile - Spatial distribution of rainfall percentiles are given for three month seasons for individual years from 1955 to 1996. Annual Cycle of Average Seasonal Rainfall (1955-1996) - Graphs of the rainfall for twelve overlapping three month periods show the average amounts as well as record extremes for 66 island stations. Seasonal Total Rainfall (millimeters) with ENSO Episodes Noted (1955 - 1996) - Histograms show the raw rainfall (millimeters) amount for running 3-month periods in chronological order from 1955 through 1996 for 66 island stations. Seasonal Total Rainfall (percentile) with ENSO Episodes Noted (1955-1996) - Histograms show the percentiles of rainfall for running 3-month periods in chronological order from 1955 through 1996 for 66 island stations.
